Your Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product and Planners to define solutions to problems
- Design, develop, and test code written in Golang and React and deployed to AWS
- Estimate tickets in a ScrumBan process
- Commit code constantly to Git/Bitbucket in a mainline development environment
- Write all the tests. Frustrated about never having time for tests? Not at Facet
- Pair program with other developers as desired
- Participate in daily standups
- Participate in weekly "Tech Stack Tuesdays" to learn new development skills and techniques

Job Specific Requirements:
- Excited about learning new skills and working in a startup environment where change is normal
- 2-5 years of full stack web development or related experience
- Go, Java, .NET Core, Node.js, or other web-development framework
- JavaScript experience, React.js is preferred
- Relational databases experience, MySQL is preferred

Scalable Path's is looking for a Senior Backend PHP/Symfony Developer to work on a client project. This is a remote, full-time position.
CLIENT COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
The client has built the world's largest and most global network for on-demand production of customized items e.g. t-shirts, wall art, mugs, books, hoodies, and cards. They support a new wave of e-commerce entrepreneurs and the global shift towards local and more sustainable production. They have a multicultural Engineering team of over 50 people working in 5 countries who build, grow and maintain their applications and platform.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client of Scalable Path in the cloud printing business is looking for a remote senior backend developer to join their team full-time. Your job would be to write APIs and features using PHP (Symfony). The backend services you would be developing would link consumers, businesses, and 3rd party vendors and coordinate things like ordering, shipping, printing, pricing, file transfer, and storage.
This is a remote, full-time, long-term position. Your working hours must overlap with Europe and you must be available for a daily scrum at 9:00 AM GMT +1.
The client is looking for someone who can start soon and can work full-time, however, they would be willing to engage with someone who could start part-time and then convert to full-time in the near future if they are a great fit.
What you will be doing:
- Using the latest technologies to solve real problems for our customers at a massive scale
- Collaborating closely with other engineers as a valuable member of a cross-functional team
- Sharing your knowledge and building creative solutions while helping the team evolve best practices
- Designing, developing and deploying backend services with a focus on high availability, low latency, and scalability
- Taking end-to-end responsibility for the services that are owned by your team, including taking part in an on-call rotation

About the Role:
We are looking for Java Senior Developers to join our Development team and participate in different projects made up of multicultural teams distributed throughout the world. We are looking for proactive people, team players passionate about programming in this language and oriented to provide the best experience to the end user. These developers will face numerous technical challenges, so they must use current technologies, get involved in the mobile world, web applications, devices, etc.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with software development teams to gather requirements and ensure best practices are adhered.
- Design, Implement & Support solutions for application development, security, analytics and performance management.
- Conform to existing industry and Verizon security coding standards adhering to fortify scan and other security tool review requirements.
- Conduct code reviews for junior members of team and do peer code reviews to make sure code is following standards set forward by the architects.
- Run test scripts against code to ensure quality delivery.
- Resolve code issues with urgency.
You Must Have:
- 5+ years of experience in Java.
- Experience in web application programming.
- Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming.
- Ability to work with relational and non-relational bases.
- Advanced English level.
