As Technical Director, you will lead the technical and architectural integrity of solutions for multiple custom software delivery projects, contribute to company-wide technical strategy, and represent Intelliware from a technical perspective with current and prospective clients. You will provide strategic and hands-on technical leadership for engagements ranging from proof-of-concept prototypes to bulletproof, long living, high volume production applications. While working with Agile teams and advising clients, you will be:

• Supporting pre-sales via proposal work, technical assessment/seed architecture overviews, etc.
• Developing and presenting technical assessments and architectural/product roadmaps
• Becoming a trusted technical advisor at the client, program, and project level
• Providing strategic vision, guidance and recommendations based on business drivers and technical constraints
• Partnering with stakeholders to understand challenges/objectives and translate into actionable tasks/scope
• Evaluating technical soundness of solutions and developing business cases for alternative solutions based on business drivers and impact/cost analysis
• Designing high quality applications that are highly scalable and extensible
• Contributing clear and maintainable code to a shared codebase
• Collaborating with cross-functional team members on features, design, and implementation
• Coaching and mentoring team members to help develop their technical and leadership skills
• Investigating, learning, and introducing new technologies and processes
• Promoting best practices across dev team and establishing thought leadership

’Must Have’ Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven software development team/technical project leadership experience
• Proven experience designing and developing complex applications that are highly scalable and extensible
• Fluent and current in Java and/or JavaScript
