Our services run on AWS and we use just about every technology Amazon offers. We have a browser-based application (Angular 10) and our backend services are mostly written in Java/Spring.

The Lead Java Software Engineerwill:

  • Handle overall development strategy for the Post-Trade platform within Luma.
  • Design and specify API interfaces for microservices that enable specific functionality within that architecture.
  • Communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately at all levels and audiences within the organization, with occasional external client interaction.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to development team members in the implementation of scalable solutions.
  • Work closely with the Team Lead, Product Owner and Business Analyst to define the scope of work and provide estimates for use in planning efforts.
  • Utilize development best practices, such as unit and integration testing.
  • Develop scalable code for microservices endpoints to match API specifications.
  • Use svn-based version control and continuous integration tools to manage code and deployment processes.
  • Adapt easily to changing priorities and new requirements.

What we require:

  • Experience (3 years or equivalent) with leading a technical team and delivery of complex software solutions
  • Experience (7+ years or equivalent) with Java (Spring Framework) technologies
  • Experience (4+ years or equivalent) with JavaScript frameworks (extjs, Angular) and browser-based application development
  • Experience (7+ years or equivalent) with relational & NoSQL databases
  • Experience (7+ years or equivalent) with Linux and Unix
  • Expert proficiency in creating architectural designs for gradually complex designs
  • Expert consulting, negotiating, communicating, consensus building, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to self-start and adapt to changing priorities and requirements
  • Ability to adapt designs for iterative implementation to meet constrained delivery timeframes
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

As Luma's DevOps Engineer, you will be a part of a team that will help handles the backbone of the infrastructure up to and including external integrations and therefore will be handling various projects. The ideal candidate will specialize in developing scalable methods for building, deploying, and supporting cloud. You will also work closely with Software Engineers to deploy and operate solutions; automate and streamline processes.

The DevOps Engineer will:

  • Design, develop and implement software integrations based on customer feedback.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with development team to streamline code deployment.
  • Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
  • Collaborate with team members to improve the company's engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security.
  • Conduct systems tests for security, performance and availability.
  • Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation.

  • A solid Unix engineering background with fluency in Ruby, Python, PHP or Java
  • Engineering of Containers using Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Docker Compose
  • Engineering experience with one or more ELK stack components
  • Knowledgeable with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
  • BS degree in (Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Information Systems or Computer Science) or equivalent experience
  • AWS Certifications would be a plus, not a must

Job Summary

The Business Technology Services group is an enablement team that supports all lines of the business and therefore have a large opportunity for diverse projects. We will rely on the Site Reliability Engineer to have responsibility for the deployment, upgrade, security and maintenance of cloud-based (AWS) environments. The SRE will also be first in line for troubleshooting and working with developers on pipeline and other infrastructure investigations. We are looking for someone that enjoys problem solving on the spot and is comfortable in cross-team interactions.

Job Functions:

  • Supporting developers and the infrastructure that delivers the code
  • Lightweight on-call rotation and improvement of monitoring/alerting
  • Collaborate with team members to improve the company's engineering tools, systems procedures, and data security

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance monitoring and alerting of the platform, infrastructure, endpoints for reporting
  • Work closely with development teams to improve services, deployments and releases
