The Principal Cloud Architect is a domain expert who applies broad technical skills with deep industry knowledge and business acumen. Leads technical solutions that promote business strategy goals by driving digital transformation, cloud adoption, optimization and automation. The Principal Cloud Architect is a subject matter expert in one or more categories that may include: solutions architecture, systems integration, business capability planning, data and information, security, cloud platforms, mobile, and analytics. With a strong blend of leadership and technical skills, the Principal Cloud Architect uses a consultative approach to drive the planning, designing, development, and application of cloud architecture to achieve business strategies and transformations. The Principal Cloud Architect possesses a broad understanding of the enterprise, the business, current capabilities and future needs, business initiatives and technology industry trends. They also provide counsel to senior leadership and teams.
What You Will Do
- Leads the development, tailoring, and enhancement of cloud frameworks, methods, and tools to ensure the alignment and integration of cloud processes and deliverables with those of other architecture and SDLC disciplines
- Leads the development of cloud transformation communications and education materials for use with business and technical stakeholders and partners
- Provides thought leadership in the development and execution of enterprise and domain-specific IT strategies, standards, and guidelines. The Enterprise Cloud Architect engages in business strategy development to identify new business capability and technology-driven opportunities to ensure alignment with a cloud-first strategy
- Defines operating models to exploit new capabilities, automation, and standardization and supports due diligence on merger, acquisition, strategic partnership, and investment activities of the enterprise
- Provides oversight and leadership for development, review, approval, and maintenance of cloud architecture blueprints and roadmap as well as cloud migration programs
- Analyzes pain points and opportunities that transcend business areas and propose enterprise strategies or solutions
- Ensures the quality of reusable architecture patterns and reference models that directly support the engineering, automation, and instrumentation processes
- Provides thought leadership in solution architecture, peer reviews, and architecture governance
- Ensures that the IT portfolio provide business value and optimize total cost of ownership
- Assesses projects for cloud impacts in support of annual planning, resource estimation, and alignment with IT strategy and enterprise architecture
- Provide regular reporting on cloud migration progress, issues, and consumption forecasts
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field and at least 10 years of enterprise solution architecture experience
- Demonstrable experience in the elicitation and specification of architectural, functional and non-functional requirements
- Proficiency in architectural principles of SaaS, PaaS, multitenancy and multi-tiered infrastructures
- Experience with cloud-based technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience managing remote teams
- Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets
- Experience with managing various compliance standards (HIPAA, FISMA, GDPR, FedRAMP)
Desired Experience
- Experience with DHIS2 or other health information software used in LMIC
- Experience Federal and NGO clients
- You have extensive experience leading complex technology teams/organizations with responsibility for application development, security, product control, architecture, and infrastructure operations
- You have a track record of achieving business goals through technology strategy
- You have experience and comfort in utilizing a broad variety of technologies
- You have excellent leadership, team building, and management skills

We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Front-End Developer to join our product development team. Our ideal candidate will lead the development effort of web-based applications, from system design through implementation. They will mentor like minded developers and empower them to create the best product and client solutions possible while sharing their passion for evolving technologies.
We accept candidates who will work out of our Cambridge (UK) office, as well as remotely from the EU region. This is a mid-level to senior level position.
Responsibilities
- Develop elegant and responsive front-end web applications for our product portfolio.
- Concept, ideate and collaborate with the product and implementation team, being an integral part of the project design and solution for internal and external clients.
- Create prototypes for testing products, validating concepts and sharing ideas with stakeholders.
- Create pixel perfect implementations based on design specifications, while pushing the envelope with the latest trends and best practices.
- Identify and establish patterns and best practices for building excellent web experiences.

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or higher in computer science or similar field.
- Extensive experience with JavaScript in general and the React framework in particular.
- Solid grasp of software engineering principles, practical application, process and workflow.
- Mastery of HTML/CSS, including the concepts of responsive layout, design systems, mobile and cross browser compatibility.
- Solid experience with web APIs and the JSON format.
- Ability to optimize front-end application performance.
- Experience with the Git workflow, such as resolving code conflicts and branching strategies.
