In support of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to provide ongoing support and enhancements. This Salesforce professional will support sales, marketing, services and support functions and related functionality. This position will also assist in system testing, report development, and assist in the training of end users.

This position can be located remotely within the United States or at our Troy, MI headquarters.

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business needs/requirements

  • Cloud/Community Cloud Certification a plus

In support of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Software Engineer to join our application team and play a key role in helping build the Plex Automation and Orchestration product. Your role is hands-on with exposure to different aspects of the product – API, UI, business logic, SCADA, and more. You’ll wear many different hats, so we’re looking for engineers that like to explore, learn, and innovate!

Preferred location is Troy, MI but highly qualified remote candidates will also be considered.

WHAT’S YOUR IMPACT?

  • Design and develop the product, evaluate new use cases, write connectors to 3rd party products, and establish data flows between Plex and its product stack.
  • Collaborate with other developers, managers, customers, and stakeholders
  • Strengthen the security, stability, and scalability of the product for existing solutions
  • Responsibilities:
    • Write web applications for the front end
    • Write Java code for the Tridium back end
    • Build custom web pages based off customer specifications
    • Create pages interacting with Tridium Niagara wiresheet (SCADA integration)
    • Create Java objects for use in web templates
    • Test web applications manually or through automation
    • Maintain Java objects for web transactions/RESTful API calls

IS IT IN YOU?

  • Computer Engineering degree with 3+ years of software development experience, ideally within Java

Senior Network Engineer - Cloud Operations

As member of the Network & Firewall team you will be responsible for maintaining the networks of Plex’s private and public cloud. We are looking for an engineer that is forward thinking with the desire to leverage automation and infrastructure as code to help secure and scale our product while building resiliency and redundancy into all solutions.

This position can be located in either Auburn Hills, MI or be remotely based from a home office with some travel as necessary.

WHAT’S YOUR IMPACT?

  • Deploying public cloud (primarily Azure) networks utilizing infrastructure as code concepts.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of data center networks including hardware/software/public cloud support, training, and special projects
  • Plan, design, and implement data connectivity for local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) systems and public cloud connectivity across several remote Data Centers.
  • Assist in coordinating special projects including network related wiring plans, LAN/WAN hardware/software purchases, and system installation, backup, maintenance, and problem solving
  • Assist in providing network and remote connectivity hardware/software support
  • Manage and troubleshoots highly available ISP circuits, BGP configurations, remote Data Center connectivity/WAN optimization and our customer SD WAN solution.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot systems logs and track the nature and resolution of problems
  • Monitor usage to ensure security of data and access privileges
  • Install, support, and maintain both physical and virtual network servers and appliances

Reporting directly to the Plex CSO, you will provide technical leadership for our Security Development Lifecycle by establishing clear direction, a dynamic security culture, and measurable goals to continually improve our application security strategy.

In this hands-on role, you will oversee adoption of our SAST, drive risk-based timely remediation of gaps, ensure alignment to security NFRs, and audit for compliance to policy and external requirements. You'll approach application security with a pragmatic perspective of risk management and avoid purely academic thinking about software security.

  • Own the complete adoption of our SAST in the CI/CD pipeline and risk quantification and management of DAST and other relevant code-scanning results
  • Work with development teams to ensure NFRS are built into new products from the design phase

  • Manage and track remediation activities in Confluence

IS IT IN YOU?

  • A completed bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field is required
  • 5+ years of progressively more complex AppSec
  • Strong leadership skills and effective management of highly technical individuals
  • In-depth experience with common security tools such as Sonarqube, WhiteHat and JFrog, across SAST, DAST, IAST, and PenTest vendors
  • Advanced knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and CWE/SANS Top 25 listings as well as practical, hands-on experience with the development, testing, and remediation of software security issues
  • Familiarity with agile development processes and experience integrating secure development best practices into an agile model, Microsoft SDL experience a plus
  • Software engineering experience with Microsoft and/or Java web applications, specific experience with ASP.NET, Angular, and Apache/Tomcat a plus

In support of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager to help lead the team designing and building our next generation platform. This person will be advancing aspects of our software platform such as Identify Management, Internationalization, and improving all aspects of automation to name a few. This is done while maintaining scale, stability and performance. Sound fun? It does to us too!

The preferred location is Troy, MI but remote applicants with some accompanying travel will also be considered.

WHAT’S YOUR IMPACT?

  • You will be leading and enabling our customer platform engineering team as a scrum master, project manager and resource manager to ensure your team is effective.
  • As an engineering manager you will work with product management to ensure requirements are clear and ready for engineering to begin solution design
  • As an engineering manager you will facilitate and may participate in solution design sessions
  • If there is a need to improve how we work as a team, it’ll be your responsibility to highlight and address it along with the rest of management
  • You’re responsible for building positive and productive cross-group relationships
  • You need to drive decision making and help your team solve tough problems across concurrent projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience building high volume, high transaction based, distributed and redundant web applications
  • Building and maintaining high performance teams while attracting and retaining talent

IS IT IN YOU?

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or related area or equivalent industry experience
  • 15+ years of professional experience developing software
  • 5+ years of experience managing and leading a team of people
  • Proven people management, people development, and leadership skills
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning focused on shipping great enterprise software
  • Broad technology awareness including experience defining technical architectures and establishing best practices
  • Passion for customers and business partner satisfaction
  • Practical experience designing for both private and public Cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
  • Understanding of full stack modern technologies from UI layer to middleware and DB layer
  • Strong understanding of modern distributed architecture and frameworks for scalable and fast applications
  • Expert knowledge of generally accepted software development lifecycle processes
  • Proven understanding of security concepts and best practices
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Prior Experience
    • Database design/data modeling experience
    • Understanding of design patterns, principles, frameworks and software modeling techniques
    • Experience in one or more of the following – (C#/.NET, Python, Java)
    • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL persistence approaches
    • Extensive experience with multiple API methodologies and application integrations
  • Bonus Experience Points
    • Certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster or equivalent experience with Agile methodologies
    • Experience with different Identity Management solutions
    • Strong conceptual or hands on experience with service mesh or containerized implementations
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment

There are new, disruptive forces in today’s manufacturing environment, and you’ll play a key role in keeping us ahead of the technological curve. You will work cross-functionally with product leadership, peers, and software engineering teams to identify and define tech and process improvements while charting a path for future development.

This position can be located at our Troy, MI headquarters or remote.

WHAT’S YOUR IMPACT?

  • Take high-level direction, formulate plans, and work hands-on with other software engineers to prototype, create frameworks, and execute a plan.
  • Work directly with business partners to understand and translate needs into technical solutions.
  • Research new software technology concepts, processes, and tools and present recommendations.
  • Assist setting the direction for coding standards and reviews, approaches to common development challenges, requirements for scalability and security, and design reviews.
  • Coach and mentor other less experienced team members.

IS IT IN YOU?

  • 8+ years of professional development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in architecting and deploying high volume, high transaction based, distributed and redundant web applications.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting for the public cloud.
  • Strong understanding of full stack modern technologies from UI layer to middleware and DB layer.
  • Demonstrated understanding of use cases for modern distributed architecture and development frameworks (e.g. SOA, Lambda, Microservices) for scalable and fast applications.
  • Expert knowledge of generally accepted software development lifecycle processes and methods.
  • Extensive database design/data modeling experience.
  • Demonstrated application of security concepts and best practices.
  • Ability to translate business challenges into technical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work hard to help build our growing company.
