Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain highly available data pipelines across different SQL, NoSQL, Cloud and On premise data systems
- Automate repetitive tasks, provide the tools to the developers to become autonomous
- Automate to build infrastructure
- Work closely with developers and project owner to design and architect best solutions to fit their needs
- Handling daily issues (Blocking, long running Transactions, Deadlocks, etc.)
- Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting and integrating new elements
- Define and document standards and guidelines

- Able to analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time

- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Fluent in English, French is a big plus
Technical requirements
- Proven work experience as data engineer
- Expertise in TSQL (min 3 years)
- Expertise in Powershell or Python
- Expertise in SSIS and good knowledge of SSAS / ETL / Data Warehousing
- Experience in Azure data solutions
- Experience in Power Bi
- Willingness to learn and operate other data platform such as Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, TimeSeries DB, etc.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Big data principles
- Knowledge of one or more of the following Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, TimeSeries DB, Grafana, MySQL, PostgreSQL

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for highly available hybrid infrastructure that runs on different tech stacks
- A part of a team that’s responsible for deploying, configuring, administering network resources such as: servers, routers and firewalls
- Software deployment, security updates and patches
- System health monitoring
- Backup and disaster recovery
- Network and security administration
Required skills
- 5 years minimum experience as System Administrator
- Experience managing hosted and on-prem Kubernetes clusters
- Extensive hands-on experience with managing production services on Azure such as: AD (B2C), Kubernetes Service, Container Registry, Key Vault, Virtual Networks, Application Gateway, Cache for Redis, etc.
- Experience managing multiple environments (dev/staging/prod/etc.) and deploying Infrastructure As A Code (Terraform).
- In depth knowledge of Linux OS (Debian)
- Good scripting capabilities (bash, python)
- Excellent knowledge of web architectures, protocols and micro-service architectures
- Monitoring solutions (Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus)
- Experience managing large scale software-defined storage clusters
- Good problem solving and solution-oriented attitude, ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Ability and willingness to work after-hours and weekends as needed, on an on-call schedule
- You speak fluent English
Optional skills
- High Availability & Load Balancing (HAProxy, Keepalived)
- Good knowledge of Nginx
- Security and network administration capabilities (firewall, vpns, ip addressing, dns, dhcp)
- BSc or MSc in computer science is not required but would be a strong asset
