Citizens Bank is embarking on an exciting technology transformation journey that includes state-of-the-art web and mobile apps as well as APIs, AI and data driven products. As Director, you will combine your technical expertise and strong leadership skills to spearhead a results-driven engineering operation. The dynamic workload will encompass both attribute enhancements and cutting-edge innovations.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Be a change agent and evangelist promoting and leading the technology transformation at Citizens Bank
- Provide engineering/architecture leadership to the organization, while leading the day to day execution
- Collaborate with architects, product managers and other technical or non-technical stakeholders to define design approaches that are aligned with the customer-centric product vision.
- Collaborate and communicate across business and technology teams
- Work with 3rd party vendors to evaluate products and talent
- Work with business colleagues to lead product envisioning, design and development.
- Build cloud native applications
- Lead and mentor other junior engineering colleagues
Qualifications
Prospective candidates must be able to demonstrate the following technical, functional and leadership core competencies including:
- 12+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of experience working with 3rd party vendors
- Proficient in Agile practices
- Demonstrated experience in leading and architecting DevSecOps and SRE models.
- Strong experience and skill in driving transformation, helping business and technology groups transition to agile ways of working.
- Building and promoting a strong engineering culture by hiring and grooming the right skills and behaviors
- Demonstrated Engineering leadership to drive rapid development and scaling of enterprise grade platforms that deliver business value, while optimizing the Technology cost base
- Ability to build and grow relationships across the organization, working and communicating effectively with stakeholders, colleagues and teams
- Deep experience with conceptualizing, creating, and executing enterprise technology strategies with metrics that matter, to demonstrate value & success.
- Solid understanding of latest trends in APIs, MSA, Service Mesh and deploying serverless applications
- Experience assessing and managing API maturity levels for the enterprise
- Experience working in AWS or GCP or Azure cloud environments
- Experience working with Devops tool chain (subversion, bitbucket, Git, selenium, Rally, Jira etc.
- Solid understanding of databases, including SQL, NoSQL and NewSQL databases
- Working with public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.) and/or on-prem private cloud
- Experience in highly-secured online environments that use n-tier designs and extensive firewalling to enhance security.
Educational, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree required

We are looking for experienced iOS developers to work as part of an agile team maintaining and enhancing our iOS application. The right individual for this role must be capable of building applications using Swift and UIKit. The right candidate should be comfortable creating new mobile screens, integrating with RESTful API’s, and iOS debugging tools. And candidates with exposure to full stack development are a plus. The candidates should also be familiar with agile, scrum, and object-oriented design.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, supports, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs
- Partners with the IT Architect during the initial stages of the project/solution to ensure the accuracy of business cases and that the solution will meet the business need
- Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance
- May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
- 5+ years of iOS & XCode development experience
- Experience with Backbase is a plus
- Experience with Cocoapods and iOS build process
- Experience with concepts of CI/CD, ideally with Fastlane and Jenkins
- Familiarly with Object-Orient Design and development best practices
- Familiarity with full stack development or experience is a plus
- High level skills in Swift and Objective-C and strong ability with latest iOS SDKs
- Ability to develop functional, technical and user interface designs for an application that meets the defined requirements (business, system performance and standards
- Demonstrates deep expertise in specific coding concepts and/or languages
- Evaluates program modules for performance scalability and openness of design
- Provides technical guidance to less experienced developers
- Reviews and/or certifies code of others
- Predicts application development requirements based on changes in underlying architecture
- Develops programming guidelines/standards and makes them accessible to - other programmers
- Ability to develop functional, technical and user interface designs for an application that meets the defined requirements (business, system performance and standards)
- Experience with web applications that use responsive design to better support mobile browsers
- Experience in highly-secured online environments that use n-tier designs and extensive firewalling to enhance security. Experience interfacing with back-end applications using MQ, SOAP, RESTful services, and JSON
- Experience partnering with others to solve problems quickly and efficiently
- Experience in the Financial Services Industry

- Managing availability, latency, scalability and effectiveness of Citizens applications development by instilling engineering reliability into our development life cycle with a focus on fault tolerant approaches
- Creating self-provisioning infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible and Docker
- Driving capacity planning, performance analysis, instrumentation and other nonfunctional systems requirements.
- Defining key metrics and SLAs around new web service being crated to support rapid growth and migration
- Implementing metric driven processes to ensure service quality target are met.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:- 3 or more years of experience running and migrating large scale application stacks in the Cloud
- 3 or more years of experience in the following areas (performance engineering, capacity engineering, availability engineering)
- 3 or more years of Terraform, Ansible or other automation experience Knowledge in all aspects of designing, developing and managing large real-time systems
- Prior successful experience as systems performance or site/systems reliability engineer
- In-depth working knowledge of Linux/Unix
- Detailed knowledge of modern software development lifecycles including CI/CD principles.
- Experience with Kubernetes, containers, AWS, Azure
- Knowledge of PHP, Python, Go or other programming languages and technologies
- Deep understanding of internet and networking protocols
- Degree in computer science or related technical field
