As a remote Manager of our Technical Team at Tutuka, you’ll be working closely with the entire Product Development team to build enterprise-level, highly scalable, highly secure financial processing systems that power tens of millions of transactions and tie them to the web, mobile and API interfaces that make it easy for people to issue, redeem and reconcile prepaid cards all over the world.

- Lead & manage one of our Developer teams.

Technical Effort Management
You will create and execute development plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing client/product needs and requirements; serve as a liaison between development team members and other technical leads. Ensuring that the technical team is contributing to Tutuka’s code library. - Possess outstanding leadership skills and have managed more than 15 developers at once (at least 3 years of management experience).

As a Testing and Deployment Engineer at Tutuka, you'll be working closely with the entire technical team to build enterprise-level, highly scalable, highly secure financial processing systems that power tens of millions of transactions and tie them to web, mobile and API interfaces that make it easy for people to issue, redeem and reconcile prepaid cards all over the world.
You will help to develop and maintain automated web app testing for APIs in support of our Tutuka applications, playing a pivotal role to establish frameworks for automated testing, service virtualisation, enterprise data and data quality assurance in addition to helping Tutuka move towards continuous testing practices.

- Partner with all levels of the technical team to build and enhance a framework focused on automation.

As a Senior Database Administrator at Tutuka, you will be working closely with technical team to provide support to the database environment of our enterprise-level, highly scalable, highly secure financial processing system that powers tens of millions of transactions using web, mobile and API interfaces, making it easy for people to issue, redeem and reconcile prepaid cards all over the world. We already have a team of amazing developers that work remotely across America, Europe and Southeast Asia, and now we need you!
This role is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer who loves data, mathematics, software architecture, system architecture, and programming. Your focus will be split between supporting the current Microsoft SQL Server database environment while architecting, planning, and implementing the database environment migration to AWS (RDS, Aurora, Redshift, and potentially more).
Our current data management and storage system in AWS already relies on RDS, S3, Kinesis, and Data Pipeline. We will expect you to have input and work on everything related to data and data analytics. This includes solution choice and design for real-time and batch data processing, database administration, data modelling, reporting, A/B testing and much more.
What will your day involve?
On the Microsoft SQL side:
- Setting up, monitoring and maintaining SQL Server instances
- Monitoring SQL Server transaction logs and SQL Server backup and restore process
- Monitoring, tuning and extending our SQL data warehouse solution
- Optimizing SQL Server queries
On the AWS side:
- Designing/Creating/Managing, and administering our AWS databases (RDS and Aurora) to guarantee continuous and high availability of the data
- Designing and building pipelines to replicate data with the on-premise SQL environment as needed
- Participating in technical and architectural discussions to help select the best technologies for future growth
- Helping us implementing a data-driven mindset in the company
- Managing our visualization and reporting tools and ensuring they integrate gracefully with our data storage solution
- Occasionally building dashboards to expose data to the business users
Who you should be?
- You have at least 3+ years' experience with AWS database experience and 6+ Years experience administrating Microsoft SQL Server

As a AWS Infrastructure Engineer at Tutuka, you'll be working closely with the entire technical team to build enterprise-level, highly scalable, highly secure financial processing systems that power tens of millions of transactions and tie them to web, mobile and API interfaces that make it easy for people to issue, redeem and reconcile prepaid cards all over the world.
This position requires in-depth knowledge of AWS services and cloud computing, and the ability to communicate architectural trade-offs & design options, so that Tutuka can make informed decisions. You will work closely with our product owners, application engineers, and security team to identify work that improves the stability, security, and self-service nature of our infrastructure, driving those ideas and projects from inception to completion.
Be part of improving our solutions:
- Position, architect and support the implementation of Amazon Web Service-based solutions.
- Design, build and migrate applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to clients.
- Provide hands-on subject matter expertise and ensure that the tooling to deploy and manage our infrastructure is automated, secure, and easy for our developers to use.
- Participate in the identification and evaluation of new technologies and development of new services.
- Support the core infrastructure for our existing test and production environments and participating in a 24x7 on-call rotation to assist other engineers in quickly debugging and resolving production-related issues.
- Identify and collect metrics that allow the product development team to pinpoint areas for improvement and measure change.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 8+ years of experience in software development and solution architecture.
- Be accomplished with leveraging Amazon Web Services Software Development Kit (SDK) with a grounded understanding of AWS services and best practices in terms of their application; CloudFormation Templates, Infrastructure as Code Configuration management tools, CI/CD tools and Monitoring tools.
- Be passionate about identifying constraints or bottlenecks in engineering lifecycles and automating them.
- Manage and maintain system performance, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large scale programs.
- Research, analyse, design, propose and support the delivery of solutions that are appropriate for Tutuka's business and technology strategies.
- Partner with development and operations teams to develop practical automation solutions and custom modules. Troubleshoot automation issues and find practical solutions that move projects forward promptly.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact and be involved with client negotiations and interfacing with management.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Be passionate about learning new things and solving problems.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to independently execute work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.
Bonus:
- An eye for security - demonstrated understanding of how to operate pipelines at scale while maintaining the security and integrity of sensitive data.

As a Testing and Deployment Engineer at Tutuka, you'll be working closely with the entire technical team to build enterprise-level, highly scalable, highly secure financial processing systems that power tens of millions of transactions and tie them to web, mobile and API interfaces that make it easy for people to issue, redeem and reconcile prepaid cards all over the world.
You will help to develop and maintain automated web app testing for APIs in support of our Tutuka applications, playing a pivotal role to establish frameworks for automated testing, service virtualisation, enterprise data and data quality assurance in addition to helping Tutuka move towards continuous testing practices

- Partner with all levels of the technical team to build and enhance a framework focused on automation.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer (fluency in at least two programming language)
- Experience operating within an Agile development environment.
- Familiarity with project management (User Story Mapping, JIRA)
- Strong communication skills: ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with continuous testing practices.
- Experience with test frameworks.
- Knowledge of REST protocol and web sockets.
- Experience with AWS highly recommended.
