Tasks

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and actual software and ensure fit of the solution with client/ValueWorks business need
• Developing end-to-end solutions from concept-development with internal or client stakeholders to MVP/final implementation

Requirements

• 5+ years software development experience using Python and Django / Django REST
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Comfortable working with mathematical formulas
• Experience in DevOps, ideally in Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS or Google Cloud
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with an innovative mindset
• Self-starter attitude, taking ownership and driving forward the topics to completion and customer success
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and to interact efficiently with others
• Full proficiency in German or English

Nice to have
Scipy/TensorFlow experience, Compiler/Interpreter experience

We are looking for a front-end developer to build and implement our user interface. You will work with our small team consisting of developers, founders and a UX designer. We provide an opportunity to become full-stack by teaching you python and django.

We are looking for an experienced software developer with backend (ideally from the enterprise software space) and DevOps experience that complements our skills and will help us drive the development of our core product from backend side.

Preferrably, you are located in Munich, Karlsruhe, Nuremberg or Bamberg, but we can also work out a model where you work remotely. However, we meet every 3-4 weeks for 4-5 days either in Karlsruhe or Munich, where you should be able to attend in person (travel expenses are covered).

Requirements

• Excellent university degree (Bachelor/Master) in an IT-related field of study, preferably computer science or information systems with focus on SW development
• 2-5 years software development experience
• Proficiency in programming and data management languages such as Python (Django), SQL databases (PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis)
• Exceptional comprehension of data structures and the ability to develop a database and / or data warehouse / data lake integrating with most common transactional systems such as SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft
• Experience in DevOps, ideally in Microsoft Azure-based cloud environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with an innovative mindset
