We are currently seeking a Full Stack Engineer - Level II to join our team! In this role you’ll work with a dynamic team of professionals who are all driven towards a common purpose: to change the world of technology and its impact on healthcare.
The Full Stack Engineer - Level II will develop and maintain all full stack components of our Swift Skin and Wound software. They will shape and evolve the ecosystem for integrations into our platform as we scale with more use cases and areas of extensibility. This role also partners closely with the Product Team to design the best solutions for clinicians, enabling them to enhance the patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Champion innovation and change for full stack web components
- Collaborate with Product, DevOps & QA to design, develop and deploy new features and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
- Work with external integration partners to build deep integrations within the healthcare technology space
- Investigate, troubleshoot and recommend fixes for bugs and performance issues across the stack, from our React / Redux frontend to our Ruby on Rails, node.js backend microservices
- Provide technical leadership in every stage of the development lifecycle, from analysis and design to program coding, testing, release and maintenance
- Influence how and what we build with demonstrated technical expertise and full understanding of user experience and interfaces
- Partner with DevOps on release management, continuous deployment, and automation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of full-stack development experience and an excellent command of engineering fundamentals
- Experience developing distributed services making use of modern Web frameworks, preferably with some full-stack experience;
- Experience writing well-tested code (RSpec, Jest etc.);
- Experience with Node.js, Ruby on Rails and/or React is considered an asset
- An innate curiosity to continuously learn and teach, refine your craft & critical thinking and demonstrate ownership & accountability
- Thrives in a dynamic environment - with proven ability to manage shifting priorities with minimal supervision

Swift Medical is looking for an Android Engineer - Level II to join our expanding team! In this role you’ll work with a dynamic team of professionals who are all driven towards a common purpose: to change the world of technology and its impact on healthcare. At Swift, we stay on the front end of change making this role critical to the design and performance of our technologies. The Android Engineer - Level II builds, tests and deploys new features within our Skin and Wound Android application. They make recommendations on architectural changes and improve software processes within the team. This role also partners closely with the Product Team to design the best solutions for clinicians, enabling them to enhance the patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the quality and usability of the code you design: Performs code reviews, identifies and fixes bugs, creates automated tests, and monitor performance of the Skin and Wound application
- Collaborates closely with Product Managers, Quality Assurance, DevOps to build new features
- Makes recommendations that impact the performance, scalability and design of the features
- Actively participates in technical design and planning discussions that challenges status quo and leads to stronger application architecture
- Acts as a mentor and guide to junior Engineers and Developers
- Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of Android development experience and an excellent command of engineering fundamentals with previous exposure to Kotlin
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and writing networking level code
- Experience with Android NDK and CMake
- Experience with modern mobile application design patterns
- Experience writing well-tested code
- Must be highly motivated and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and exercises discretion in all business dealings
- Work collaboratively in a team environment but also function as a demonstrated self-starter with minimal supervision
