Position Summary:

The ideal candidate on the Business Development team for Pharma Commercial and R&D will have a goal of partnering with large pharma on targeted use of our bio-simulation products and services: our Gemini in silico Patient m Causal Machine Learning technology, REFS software platform and services globally. The BD person in this role must be very comfortable organizing and leading complex deal structures with senior management of our key clients with a clear track record of success in licensing and deal closure (deal sheet required). The ideal candidate will be creative, energetic and independent. They will work effectively within the GNS BD&L team and with the operations and engineering teams to put together the best solutions for clients and thrive within a fast-paced and exciting team environment. Navigating pharmaceutical and biotech companies' discovery, development and commercial departments are critical skills to succeed.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and qualify opportunities for GNS technology and services
• Build relationships with pharma clients to effectively convey our value proposition
• Continual feedback of market needs to the GNS Development and Marketing team
• Accurately forecast business plans and consistently exceed target
• Own each opportunity and manage the cross functional resources needed to close deals
• Proactively monitor client relationships to ensure continued high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
• Responsible for developing a account plan and strategy for your key accounts
• Travel regularly to meet key client stakeholders to maintain and expand existing relationships
• Serve as the company's representative at industry conferences and marketing and networking events

Requirements:

• Advanced degree required
• 10+ years of experience in BD&L in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
• Proven successful track record
• High quality references from senior managers and satisfied clients
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
• Experience selling large-scale, analytics solutions into pharmaceutical and biotech companies in the U.S or globally, preferred
• Possess a mix of analytical and creative skills to find innovative solutions for clients while providing best in class service
• Ability to effectively collaborate with various business units across the Company to ensure successful onboarding of clients
• Ability to travel as needed

Position Summary

The Senior Data Scientist will join a dynamic team responsible for supporting successful biopharma customer use of the REFS software platform. This individual will be an internal expert in the capabilities of our Bayesian inference platform, with the ability to translate customer use requests into practical solutions using REFS-based analytics. The role will be responsible for providing advanced technical and scientific support for license clients on precision medicine applications of REFS.

Responsibilities will include training client users in the use of REFS Software, assisting client users in scientific problem formulation, data assessment and model design, partnering with client users on result interpretation and value of scientific results generated by the REFS platform and participation in development

Responsibilities

• Facilitate delivery of scientific insights to clients using the REFS software and services, including on-boarding, training, and providing regular technical and scientific support to users.
• Work with clients on precision medicine projects using the REFS software to drive project results
• Work with the licensing team on creating training materials for REFS software and participate in the delivery of the training material as an expert user and trainer
• Provide feedback to GNS R&D, product, and engineering teams on the REFS software roadmap and opportunities to deliver client value

• Identify and mitigate risks that could inhibit client success
• In-depth understanding of the application of REFS for precision medicine, biomarker discovery, and patient stratification use cases.
• Scientific rigor and creativity in addressing client business needs
• Assist clients in assessment of healthcare datasets (e.g. clinical trials, omics, claims, EHR datasets) for REFS modeling
• Support modeling workflows and model interpretation by license clients
• Troubleshoot with clients to assist them in tailoring the REFS platform for their needs
• Provide training to internal and external customers on the REFS platform
• Support pre-sales and business development activities as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of a Master's Degree in Bioinformatics, (Bio)Statistics, Data Science, Systems Biology, (Bio)Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science
• PhD preferred
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in machine learning and probability theory; experience in Bayesian analysis or causal inference methods is a strong plus
• Experience handling and manipulating large data sets
• Proficiency in at least one statistical programming or numerical computing language; experience with R preferred
• Familiarity with AWS and Linux systems
• Strong written and verbal communication; a clear ability to communicate technical material to non-technical audiences simply and clearly
• Experience working in an interdisciplinary environment is a plus
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
• Passion to learn new things and solve problems

Position Summary

We're looking for a motivated and experienced Devops Engineer to help our rapidly growing team leverage the cloud.  This role will ensure the timely, efficient, secure implementation of enterprise infrastructure solutions to help power GNS's products and services, while working with our stakeholders. This position presents a tremendous opportunity to push the cloud to the limit for an individual capable of working in a fast-paced, customer-focused, and challenging environment.  We are seeking a problem solver who has the ability and willingness to continually learn and update their skills as well as the ability to establish themselves as a critical player within a team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, HPC/Cloud, the DevOps Engineer is responsible for supporting operations and scoping, planning, designing, delivering, and maintaining systems in a security-critical environment based on needs and requirements. The DevOps Engineer will have expertise with Microsoft-based cloud operations, including Active Directory implementation and maintenance, Exchange server deployment and operations, and Azure infrastructure-as-a-service. Linux fluency is also a must. AWS experience is desirable. The DevOps Engineer will play an active role within the organization, while collaborating with our Information Technology, Software Engineering, and Product Teams.  Adaptability, attention to detail and completeness of work (documentation) is required. 

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure-based solutions to support GNS's needs
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, OSs, software applications, and other computing systems
• Monitor and manage Azure cloud-based infrastructure and associated services
• Active Directory
• Exchange 
• Proactively resolve open issues with scientists or other team members as needed
• Proactively communicate risks, obstacles, and deficiencies in plans to the IT team
• Set up system-wide software
• Update systems upon release of new software
• Implement computer, network and security policies for system and network users
• Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery efforts
• Implement script-based solutions as needed
• Support the rest of the IT team as needed

Qualifications and Skills

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science or a related discipline (preferred) and 5 - 10 years of relevant experience
• Experience with:
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange and LDAP
  • Linux fluency 
  • AWS experience (preferred)
  • Cluster/HPC experience (preferred)
  • Open source enterprise software
  • IT automation software (e.g. Puppet, Chef)
  • Healthcare privacy and security (e.g. HIPAA) is a plus
  • Planning IT implementations
  • Networking and enterprise firewalls
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise infrastructures
• Solid communication and collaboration skills
