Responsibilities
- Work across many ML problems spanning natural language processing and generation, recommender systems and other predictive systems. It is fine to not have knowledge across all of these, but having a strong area is necessary.
- Design, train, deploy and monitor models (the whole pipeline)
- Be comfortable working with our Product Managers to flesh out the problems and suggest right trade-offs between user-experience, engineering efforts and model performance.
- Think of creative ways to improve solutions that are already in place
- Imagine new feature ideas and design real-time data pipelines to incorporate them into our models
- Improve the way we evaluate and monitor our models and system performance
- Mentor our junior members in the team
- Be comfortable and resourceful in working autonomously without much supervision
- Be comfortable and creative in developing situational non-ML solutions that just work
Must have
- At least 3 years of experience in Natural Language Processing and Recommender Systems
- At least 2 years of solid hands-on experience with Pytorch/TensorFlow
- Very comfortable with Mathematics, Probability, Statistics
- At least 5 years of relevant industry experience of developing/training/deploying ML models is highly preferred
Nice to have
- Experience with conducting research/previously published papers in top venues
- Proven experience in mentoring junior members

We are looking for Software Engineer in Test to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality and reliability. By joining our team, you will take part in various projects, assessing software quality by designing and implementing software testing processes. You will take ownership of code quality through exploratory and automated tests. You will hunt bugs, identify issues, report them, and see that they’re dealt with.
The Role
- Work closely with the software development team in the development of new features and/or enhancements for the product
- Create software testing documents containing, but not limited to, detailed test scenarios, expected and actual results, and other feature-related information. Documents may include test plans, test suites, test cases, and automation-related manuals
- Conduct automated tests on features and/or bug fixes on a testing environment to ensure that such items meet the requirements prior to release
- Create maintainable automated tests to lessen the amount of time spent on conducting manual tests
- Collaborate with the Software Quality Assurance team on improving internal processes and ensuring the reliability of automated processes
The Person
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any related field
- +5 years of work experience in creating automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver (or similar)
- +3 years of work experience in integrating automated tests into CI platforms such as Gitlab, Jenkins, or similar
- Knowledge of various software testing methods (e.g. Regression, Sanity, Smoke, etc.)
- Prior experience working in an Agile environment
- Good verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated, team-oriented, goal-driven, and with keen attention to detail
Plus Factors
- Experience with an automation tool like Gherkin (Cucumber)
- Experience in creating automated test scripts for chrome extensions
- Experience in conducting API testing for GraphQL

Qualification:
- At least 5 years Scala experience (not including spark scripting)

You have experience in building prototypes that demonstrate the finer details in transitions, animations, and complex interactions. You are comfortable iterating your design based on user feedback and product analytics. You will combine interfaces and workflows to enhance the user experience.
In this role, you should be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems. A strong history of representing the customer’s voice internally to the company through successful UX changes, eliminating confusion or driving an increase in product usage.

Requirements

5+ years of UX design experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.
- Strong portfolio of design projects (projects with interactive design or complex business product is a plus)
- Can perform research on customer profile and needs.
- Familiarity with modern UX principles
