Echosec Systems is looking for an Application Security Engineer to support the R&D team in securing applications and infrastructure for our web application, darknet and social crawlers and a data enrichment platform. You will be joining a company that values continuous improvement in its security program driven by all its employees; and joining a team that takes pride in releasing daily while maintaining meaningful and comprehensive test coverage. You will be responsible for defining and working with the team to adhere to new security priorities. You will also be working independently and with senior members of the team to secure Echosec Systems infrastructure. This position has a high degree of autonomy and will work closely with the CTO to define and implement changes relating to security priorities. Previous experience working within dev(sec)ops or security focused roles would be valuable but not required.

Responsibilities
- Participate in threat modelling for Echosec Systems application and infrastructure.
- Design and maintain automated security test suites, tooling and telemetry.
- Implement security best practices in Kubernetes and containers (Docker).
- Own the Echosec Systems vulnerability management program.
- Support the security disclosures and compliance processes.
- Assist teams in deploying and implementing secure infrastructure on Azure, Digital Ocean and cloud based PaaS/SaaS/IaaS providers.
- Collaborate with the team to determine the best logging and telemetry outputs when working within a DevSecOps environment.
- Managed Github’s security notifications as they related to the applications supply chain for software and container dependencies.
- Evaluate third party security tooling (eg: Snyk or Hashicorp Vault).
Skills and Experience
- Experience with OWASP.
- Understanding of web application firewalls.
- An understanding of networking and cloud architectures.
- Working knowledge of cloud services in AWS, Azure or Digital Ocean.
Assets but not Requirements
- Experience owning SOC2 policies around security and compliance.
- Participation in bug bounty programs.
- Previous experience with Kubernetes.
- Previous experience with Zero Trust Networking (Cloudflare Access).
- Worked with Azure Sentinel, Azure Monitor or Elastic SIEM.
- Knowledge of Azure Active Directory.
- Understanding of static or dynamic analysis tools.

Echosec Systems is looking for an Infrastructure & Security DevOps Engineer to support the development team in securing, launching, scaling services for darknet and social crawlers, data enrichment and analysis. You will be joining a team that releases daily and takes pride in maintaining meaningful and comprehensive test coverage on a CI/CD pipeline as well as progressively improving SLOs. You will be responsible for defining new infrastructure templates, implementing zero trust, resilient and observable architectural patterns, and working closely with the team to release them as highly reliable, automated systems. This is an intermediate level position with room to grow into a senior architecture or security role, a high degree of autonomy is expected. Previous experience deploying dev(sec)ops, disaster recovery, zero-trust patterns is an asset.

Responsibilities
- Build developer tooling and automation to support the underlying services that power the platform, while delivering clean interfaces and infrastructure for other developers to work on.
- Support (audit, patch and plan to progressively improve) the infrastructure for a highly-available distributed data retrieval and processing system
- Deploy new infrastructure as needed to support the back-end services that power the Echosec open data search and aggregation products.
- Promote security best practices, manage user access and ensure principles of zero trust and least access are applied
- Research and complete proof of concept designs to improve existing infrastructure’s ability to be failure resilient, recoverable, secure and easier for the development team to build and deploy.
- Collaborate with the team to determine system logging and telemetry outputs and efficient DevOps practices
Skills and Experience
- Experience deploying and maintaining highly-available and scalable distributed systems in a cloud environment
- Experience with container-based infrastructure as code: terraform, kubernetes
- Experience with logging and telemetry at scale; Building effective operations dashboards with alerting
- Strong cloud architecture principles: compute, storage, networks, security

Echosec Systems is looking for a Senior Front End Web Developer to provide technical leadership and to continuously improve UI and UX on its unified platform. As part of the product team, you will work closely with the Product Manager and Lead UI developer to define and implement new components on the Echosec Systems platform. Components will be a mix of new functionality in data exploration and visualization, as well as improvements in user experience and performance on existing functionality. You will be joining a team that releases daily and feels confident in doing so by supporting each other through all phases of development, learning from each other, improving existing methods of development, and maintaining meaningful and comprehensive test coverage.

Responsibilities
- Provide and support technical leadership within the team.
- Be customer-focused and work with the Product Engineering Lead to deliver on the product vision.
- Work iteratively with wireframes, high fidelity mockups or free form requirements and provide feedback as needed.
- Distil requirements and acceptance criteria for new front-end capabilities into fully implemented and tested modules.
- Work with the development team on constructive code reviews. Provide and take feedback on design and architecture decisions.
- Help resolve bugs and performance issues in the front-end codebase.
- Iterate and ship code in a continuous integration and continuous deployment environment.
Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of web and mobile UI design standards and patterns
- Experience applying UX principles to build consistent, reusable UI elements.
- Comfortable evaluating and introducing new technologies to a team environment
- Ability to lead discussions around architecture and appropriate design patterns
- Comfortable coaching developers in best practices
- Experience with modern Javascript (ES6+) and Typescript features.
- Knowledge of one or more component-based frontend frameworks for single-page applications (Vue, React or Angular). We use Vue internally.
- Knowledge of test-driven development and testing frameworks (Jest or Cypress)
- 5+ years of experience working in an agile development environment.

- Experience with CSS preprocessors (LESS / SASS).
- Experience with tooling like Webpack and Babel.
- Comfortable with SVG and CSS3 concepts including flexbox and animations.
- Previous experience with D3 / visualization frameworks.
- Previous experience in a hybrid remote/ in office team.
- Experience profiling code with the chrome development tools.
- Experience and proficiency with common design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch or equivalent.
