Leads the design and development of technical solutions to address identified business opportunities. About the opportunity
As Director of DevOps, you will be tasked with leading and growing Flock Safety’s DevOps/ SRE practice. From day one, you will be leading a team of highly skilled DevOps engineers that are responsible for our infrastructure, cloud and device application build/deployment, system metrics, and building the DevOps culture throughout the company. In addition to managing the current team, you will be responsible for scaling the team, and handling how the DevOps team works with all engineering teams. You will partner closely with other engineering leaders on key architectural decisions and long term engineering strategy.
Some challenges you’ll tackle
- Lead and shape DevOps for our entire engineering organization
- Manage the DevOps hiring strategy to scale with our accelerated company growth

About The Role
At Staircase, the Product organization is divided into builder and planner roles. The Business Engineer will partner with our builders and planners to execute, manage, and orchestrate processes which are required to achieve product goals. You’ll be expected to apply your technical expertise to help us build and automate processes to manage go to market, customer adoption, partner collaboration, cost and revenue projection as well as long-term growth strategy. This role will provide the critical information to help us build a world-class product ecosystem.

What You’ll Do
- Partner closely with Product Engineers to research, build, maintain and improve Staircase’s products and features
