What You Will Do
In this position, you will work on an agile cross-functional team focusing on a subset of the core Formstack platform. You will be responsible for refactoring Angular to React, implementing new Front-End code, and improving and maintaining existing functionality. You will also work with the Product Design team to improve and maintain our custom component library. In this role, you'll have a lot of fun collaborating, solving problems, and building relationships with awesome and talented individuals!

How You Will Succeed
- Work on an agile cross-functional team comprised of Product Designers, Product Managers, Back-End Engineers, and QA Engineers

What We Are Looking For
- Relevant experience working as a Front-End developer
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
- JavaScript Design Patterns
- Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles (including hooks)
- Experience with AngularJS
- Experience with libraries like Redux, Redux-Saga, Reselect
- Experience with TypeScript and/or Flow
- Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Deep concern for users, usability, the user experience, and accessibility
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Front-End unit testing
- Experience writing clean and semantic HTML5 and CSS3

Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000

Who You Are:
You are technical, analytical, and comfortable making decisions. The Role:
As a DevOps Engineer at Proton.ai, you will join the Foundations team to facilitate our fast-moving development cycle and improve upon our existing infrastructure. Implementing and maintaining scalable, cost-optimized systems that successfully provide the base for a great user experience is essential. Our DevOps engineer will be responsible for managing deployments, existing services, and the creation of new services. This role has the potential for growth, having the opportunity to implement creative tooling for infrastructure or workflow automation, defining new policies/procedures, and coming up with interesting ways to optimize our cloud costs or improve monitoring and visibility.
Your Impact:
You will help refine where we need to be for DevOps and infrastructure, and assist in managing a plan for how to move towards that vision. You will problem solve infrastructure related issues, and aid in scoping feasibility of new projects or infrastructure changes. Together with the team, you will help create and implement a comprehensive plan for an automated, observable, and scalable development lifecycle and infrastructure strategy.
What you'll do:

Ensure adherence to policies/procedures in order to maintain stability and reliability of the product by automating or monitoring pieces of our systems and workflows.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

Working knowledge of containerized, microservice architectures and best practices (i.e. Kubernetes, the backbone of a majority of our systems).

Job Title: Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Remote)
Location: San Diego

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our team in the heart of downtown San Diego, CA (well, virtually during COVID) to lead key application and platform development initiatives that deliver our innovation to the market.
What You Will Be Doing:
The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer ("Engineer") will play an important role in the ongoing development, enhancement, and deployment of our internal loan origination software system, as well as contributing to the planning and development of any new software systems developed by the company. Engineer must have an excellent understanding of LAMP stack technologies, GIT version control, as well as AWS experience. Engineer should also be forward thinking and be able to adapt to an agile development environment.
Engineer should be comfortable interfacing with peers from all departments within the company to gather application requirements. Engineer must be able to interface with program owners and take high level business objectives and translate them into well-defined and architected software solutions.
Additionally, Engineer must possess strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability, as well as an understanding of Financial Services concepts. Engineer must also have a proven ability to handle multiple priorities and possess a high level of discipline to work independently, while remaining flexible.
In this role, you will:
- Contribute to the ongoing development of our internal loan origination software system.
- Contribute to the planning and development of any new company software systems.
- Perform requirements analysis and technical design of solutions in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Help maintain our cloud-based architecture, focusing on reliability, security, and scalability.
- Identify code, database, and infrastructure vulnerabilities/bottlenecks, and implement solutions.
- Participate in peer code test and review.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers.
- Occasionally travel to the San Diego office for in-person collaboration.
Desired skills & expertise:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science orâ¯ITâ¯related field.
- Previous experience in the Financial Services industry.
- 7+ years as a LAMP stack developer with full life-cycle product development experience.
- A solid understanding of CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, etc.).
- Advanced experience with Object Oriented coding, as well as modern coding principles.
- Extensive knowledge of web development, specifically with PHP/MySQL.
- Extensive knowledge coding with Laravel MVC framework.
- Firm understanding of event-driven and queue-centric design patterns.
- Proficiency utilizing GIT version control in a team environment.
- Proficiency with secure coding principles and design.
- Proficiency with encryption theory and various encryption libraries.
- Proficiency with front end coding including HTML, Javascript, CSS and responsive web design.
- Experience with relational databases, schema design and optimization.
- Experience connecting with and utilizing 3rd party APIs (REST, SOAP, XML).
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- AWS experience, specifically with EC2, S3, Redis, RDS and CodeDeploy.
- Proven ability to work successfully with limited supervision.
