About The Job:

Our product teams are composed of a product manager, designer and mob (several engineers + tech lead) to be best equipped to solve difficult customer problems in ways that work for the business.

As a product manager within this team, you’ll be accountable for valuable and viable solutions, and will collaborate with design and engineering to ensure their usability and feasibility. PacketFabric is looking for a well-versed and highly-motivated Salesforce Developer to work with our sales operations team. This person will have the skills and experience to work with a growing sales team to support ongoing projects. This position will be involved in all aspects of the application development lifecycle: design, code, test, documentation, and support. A typical day in the life of a Salesforce Developer might include these types of activities:

• Working with the sales operations team to refine a requested feature and estimating the time required to complete the feature.
• Working with the software engineering team leads to define and refine requirements for a new integration between Salesforce and our business systems.
• Troubleshooting a bug found in data imported to Salesforce by the sales team, and working with the sales agents to gather information required to reproduce the issues.
• Implementing a new feature for sales quoting that requires moving data between several systems, and working closely with the SRE teams on the pipeline.
• Documenting that cool new feature you just made so the sales team can be trained on it.

Requirements

The right candidate will likely have a degree in Computer Science, as well as an abundance of Salesforce knowledge and experience implementing that knowledge into practice. You should have very strong abilities to work across multiple teams and act as a technical subject matter expert on Salesforce. More specifics include 

• 5+ years as a software engineer working on and in object oriented environments
• 2+ years working directly with Salesforce Lightning components and Salesforce developer tooling including Flow, Apex/Visualforce, SOQL, etc

Full Stack Web Developer

• As a member of an Empowered Product Team, you'll be accountable for deeply understanding the customer's problem, actively contributing to ideating on the solutions and measuring your impact through the results on our customers, not code written. There are no "specs" or top-down management here.
• A team consists of 2 other engineers, a UX designer and a product manager. You'll be "mob programming" with the other engineers, in real-time over Zoom throughout the day, while ad-hoc collaborating with the product manager and UX designer as needed.
• This position is fully remote, our teams are distributed across four continents. You'll be expected to observe ~6am...~4pm PST (±2) working hours (varies by team).
• You'll be deploying incremental slices of progress to production daily or even multiple times throughout the day; the only measure of progress is delivery of customer value to production.

 Requirements

• 7+ years experience in building complex software systems
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, ability to articulate the pros and cons of inheritance vs composition, discuss common design patterns, their applications and common mistakes when using them

Position Overview:

The Software Engineer II role is a mid-level position responsible for creating automated tests, including end-to-end and integration tests.  Our team maintains a lot of legacy code that brought our business to where it is today, but we recognize that our future success requires investments in automated testing.  The test harnesses you create will be laying the foundation for future upgrades, refactorings, and replacement technologies.

About our Department:

The Business Systems department is responsible for various operational business applications written mainly in C#, ASP.NET, and JavaScript (AngularJs/Vue) and backed by an MSSQL (Entity Framework) database.  We have an automated CI/CD pipeline that deploys everything to Azure with a single click. 

We also have two older yet critical ASP.NET WebForms applications. Your priority will be creating automated tests for these applications to support future refactorings, as well as to stabilize and prevent regressions.  Our legacy applications are the backbone of our company operations but were written when automated testing wasn’t standard.  This position will be challenging but equally rewarding for the right person.

CNC Software is a mature company, and Business Systems is a seasoned department.  We are not a startup rushing from feature to feature.  We don’t believe in unrealistic deadlines, emails won’t flood your inbox during the weekend, and we love it when everybody shuts down their laptop to enjoy their passions after a good day's work.
