SUMMARY

WELL is looking for a talented, experienced backend developer to join our fast-paced, growing engineering department. This developer will primarily be working with Node.js. As a Backend Engineer at WELL, you will work under the guidance of our Engineering Director in either a dedicated backend team, or in a cross functional team of backend and frontend engineers.

You will work with the rest of the team to maintain and grow features in the backend code base. This will include supporting Node.js web facing APIs, writing SQL queries, automating interactions with partner APIs, and enhancing the core infrastructure that underlies our scheduled and realtime patient-provider communications capability.

In addition to being a strong developer, you will have a keen interest in how software and modern communication channels can improve the patient experience. You will also have the attention to detail and quality needed to meet high Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in a product that serves roughly 30+ million patients annually. You will also be flexible and adaptable enough to thrive in a fluid startup environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain existing and build new backend services using Typescript on Node.js, open source technology and tools including NestJS and Express.
  • Drive quality by writing effective unit, integration and e2e tests for high availability systems and libraries.
  • Create high availability and high throughput systems using Redis, Postgres, Kinesis, S3, MongoDB, EventBridge and other AWS services.
  • Effectively collaborate with Product, QA, UX, Client Success, and other internal groups (both technical and non-technical).
  • Opportunity to work with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and frontend (React) if desired.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our growing tech team, working on our core Simprints ID platform. You will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Simprints applications and their integrations, both with our internal back-end services and with external data collection applications. Motive is seeking a driven self-motivated individual to join our company as our Director of Product and Technology. This position is an individual contributing engineer as well as manager and product visionary. We are a small team looking to grow, the Director of Product and Technology must be willing to dig-in across the stack.

Responsibilities

  • Overall planning, execution, and success of all technical projects
  • Define engineering and system architecture direction
  • Hands-on leader who can get into the code with engineers
  • Lead the effort to build tools and features for internal business team to improve efficiencies and aid in revenue growth
  • Manage and grow current distributed engineering team

Required Experience

  • Programmatic / Ad Tech (buy-side & exchanges)
  • Building managing onshore and offshore technical teams in digital advertising
  • Product management, including Agile software development processes
  • Real-time big data development and analytics
  • Proficiency in: PHP, JavaScript, Golang, Python, MVC Framework (CodeIgniter, Phalcon)
  • Database knowledge in either MySQL, PostgreSQL (Redshift), or NoSQL (Aerospike, MongoDB)
  • AWS administration (EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, Lambda)
