About the Role

• Contribute to onboarding documentation for future hires

Within 6 Months:

• Work with members of the tech and product teams to distill user stories or business requirements into technical requirements/design
• Understand the high-level architecture of the website, mobile app, and other consumers of our back-end services

Within 12 months:

• Confidently implement new functionality and fix bugs across a variety of Back End projects
• Begin identifying areas for improvement in our codebase, researching best practices, and making recommendations to the team on strategies to address them

Using the Vert.x web framework, we have developed a rich toolset for building web applications and integrations. Our framework gives you robust building blocks that you can put together to make things happen without having to write a lot of boilerplate code or web service config. The service logic is organized into nano-services and deployed to the cloud using AWS. You will be able to come up to speed quickly by using our building blocks to implement business logic without needing to understand what is happening under the hood.
